Her Majesty Margo Duke

I enjoyed a wonderful childhood while growing up in Glasgow, Scotland, before moving to America with my Mom, Dad and brother aboard the QE11 when I was 12 years old. Iwas fortunate enough to have two talented grandmothers who taught me to crochet and knit at an early age.

Over the years, I've studied and developed skill in many areas of needlework and seem to have an uncanny intuitive ability to predict upcoming trends as was the case with English Smocking back in the early 70?s when I mastered it before it became popular. It wasn't until I found machine needle felting a little over three years ago that I became completely obsessed with the endless creative possibilities and realized that this trend would catch on. I'm constantly experimenting and love sharing my passion with others.   I've designed projects as well as kits for use by others as teaching tools and enjoy providing inspiration with my trunk show.

Look for my "Tree Sampler" the first in a series of simple samplers that teach basic machine needle felting techniques using fun materials; "Confections" - a wide sampling of colorful wool, silk and wool roving/curls; and "Snippets"  for experimenting with wool felt, silk, curls and velvet in sumptuous colorways from the Queen's stash (an excuse to be able to add more). Contact me for more information.
